This young man wanted to enlist in the military to serve our country, but he had some tattoos that were holding him back, and he did not want to wait until laser treatments might be able to lighten them adequately. He came to Dr. Nachbar's Scottsdale office, and the next day Dr. Nachbar excised the portion of his right wrist tattoo that was on his hand, as well as the tattoo on the first segment (dorsal aspect of the proximal phalynx) of his left long finger. Working on the hand is very tricky, but Dr. Nachbar used Loupe Microsurgery to protect the structures of the hand. His finger was tight right after the procedure, but by one month, he had full motion, and was ready for the enlistment office.
