Labiaplasty With Removal of a Reminder of a Childhood Experience

This early 20s woman said that she had an unfortunate experience as a child that resulted in an extra lump of tissue that she always associated with that experience. She also had a lot of extra labia minora tissue that she wanted to improve. Dr. Nachbar determined that the tissue was a remnant of the hymenal ring, which is tissue often torn during the first sexual experience. Dr. Nachbar performed a wedge labiaplasty, and also removed the extra tissue that served as a reminder of this experience. She is shown 3 months after surgery.
