Face Lift - I'v had previous procedures with 2 other plastic surgeons and have never had the surgeon do the whole first consult for beginnig to end, usually you only see him briefly after you explain to the Nurse about what you want, I've never had the Dr take the before pictures! Dr Nachbar makes you feel so comfortable and doesn't sugar coat or make promises that aren't realistic just to get your money. I've also never stayed over night in a hospital, one procedure I had was a tummy tuck with drains and I went home after the surgery but it would have been nice to have a overbite stay with nursing keeping an eye on you. Procedure Technique
BOTOX treatments are done as an outpatient procedure conveniently at our practice. If it is your first time to visit us in Scottsdale for BOTOX, we commonly perform the injection on the same appointment as your consultation with Dr. Nachbar. You will be asked to make a few facial expressions with the upper face, like squinting, frowning, etc., which will allow us to determine where the injections are best placed. The skin will be cleansed and BOTOX will be applied with a fine needle, followed by gentle compressions to help reduce bruising, swelling, and discomfort. You can request an ice pack or numbing cream to make the procedure more comfortable, but it generally is unnecessary. BOTOX injections typically take about 10 – 15 minutes, then you can resume to your normal routine with no required recovery period.
What to Expect
After the procedure, you may get back to your usual routine, but strenuous activity should be skipped for at least one day. You will be asked to sleep with your head elevated for the first night and to not touch your face, which may accidentally spread the treatment to other areas. The treated areas of the face may appear red, bruised, or swollen for 2 – 3 days, but you typically will not develop any long lasting or serious side effects from injectable treatments. In many cases, it often takes about 5 – 7 days before the full effects of BOTOX can be seen. The results usually last 3 – 4 months.
